About

About

TeleDermatology is a subspecialty in dermatology, medical branch covering skin, nails and hair and its diseases, and one of the most common applications in telemedicine. Using this technology, your GP can easy and, if needed, in real time, ask for an advice or second opinion from the dermatologist. You are not required to visit a hospital and remain under eventual treatment with your GP. This method is primarily used for conditions covering lager skin area.

Closer images of small lesions may be done via TeleDermatoScopy, also available in General Medical Practice de Makroon.

The dermatologist determines diagnosis and advises the eventual treatment. In a separate appointment, your GP will discuss these results and set the cause of that treatment.

TeleConsultation with dermatologist (TeleDermatology) costs are not excluded from your obligatory deductible, yet are lower than the costs of consultation with a specialist in a hospital.
